Outdoor festival
Circus in open air
Cirque Plus started in 2007 on the site of Het Entrepot, at Bruges' inner harbour. The festival was a fixture there for five editions. In 2013, the festival moved to the city centre, in the beautiful courtyard garden of the Major Seminary, which is normally not open to the general public.
Artistic work outside the theatre walls can lower barriers and connect diverse audiences. Cirque Plus aims to highlight the power and beauty of this connecting value. This is why we choose to primarily put on open-air circus performances.
In the report below, both the organisation and artists testify briefly about the connecting power, magic and challenges of playing under the open sky.
