Humo y Polvo, Spanish for smoke and dust, is born in 2022 from the meeting of Martina Calvo (Chile) and Morgane Maret (Switzerland). Having trained at ESAC, they combine ideas, visual language and imagination. Material plays a leading role with them: it forms strange, poetic and sometimes disturbing worlds that like to turn established ideas about femininity upside down.
Las Corpa came into being in 2019, when aerial acrobat Lorena Di Bello and acro dancer Martina Calvo met at ESAC (Brussels). United by their artistic vision and friendship, they began to create intriguing performances together. This was the starting point of an intense creative and investigative journey, which took them further and further along their artistic trajectory and productions.
Accessibility
The performance occasionally speaks in English, French, Spanish or multiple languages, though images and movement play a central role.
