Ákri means in Greek: threshold, boundary. And that is exactly what this solo performance explores. An acrobat and a staircase, that's all it needs to be. The stairs are at once a game element, scenery and a symbolic passage between two spaces.

How do we fill the time between moments? What happens in places you really shouldn't stay? With theatre, acrobatics and a touch of clownery, Manel turns the stairs into a place where boundary and play come together.

Company

Manel Rosés Moretó is an acrobat from Barcelona, trained at the DOCH circus and dance university in Stockholm. His work always starts from the body, theatre and recognizable, human themes. He strongly believes in circus as a direct, simple and universal language, understandable for everyone, regardless of age or background. A few years ago, he impressed with acrobat Nilas Kronlid during Uitwijken and Cirque Plus with the performance Gregarious.
