Sustainable festival
Sustainability goes beyond ecology at Cirque Plus. We believe in social sustainability: working together with organizations for people with disabilities, tailoring companies, community works, Compagnie Cordial and many volunteers. This is how we create opportunities, strengthen each other and build a warm festival together. We also reduce our carbon footprint by less printing use and as much as possible reuse signage and materials. We ask visitors to do the same by by bicycle, foot or public transportation to arrive. Ample bicycle parking is available at the entrance. Cirque Plus is thus more than a circus festival. It is a place where meeting, caring for each other and respecting the environment go hand in hand. Together we make a difference and enjoy a festival that is sustainable in every sense of the word.
Cirque Plus very consciously chooses to work in a sustainable way. We want to be a festival that not only brings people together, but also cares for the environment in which we play. That is why we are strongly committed to waste reduction, recycling, social sustainability and sustainable mobility. In the field, we use no disposable material. Drinking cups, bottles, plates and cutlery are all collected for reuse. This requires a large investment, but it significantly reduces waste. We ask visitors not to bring these materials and to sort them correctly at the waste points on the grounds. Also our catering offer is built to last. Both in front of and behind the scenes, we choose a completely vegetarian cuisine, with partners working with local and seasonal products. Thanks to our partnership with Oxfam World Shops, we also offer fair coffee, tea, juices and wines.
